4. Evaluating Fire Safety Measures

To ensure effective fire safety, we assess, but not limited to, three key areas:

• Fire Detection & Warning Systems: We check whether fire detection measures are in place, if they provide adequate early warning, and whether occupants can recognise evacuation signals.
• Means of Escape: We evaluate escape routes to ensure they lead to a safe area, are clearly signed, and are suitable for all occupants.
• Fire-Fighting Equipment: We review the availability and condition of extinguishers, fire blankets, and other fire-fighting equipment, as well as whether staff are trained to use them.

5. Records, Emergency Plans & Training

We also assess whether you have a clear and effective emergency plan in place. This includes:

• Designated evacuation muster points and fire assembly areas.
• A clear process for liaising with emergency services.
• Staff training to ensure an organised evacuation, including roll calls and safety procedures.

6. Ongoing Review & Updates

Fire risk assessments are live documents and should be reviewed regularly. We recommend reviewing your assessment:
